Some information is not capable of protection under the various Intellectual Property regimes.  Such information includes know-how, business procedures and client lists.  If it is not possible to otherwise keep such information secret, it may be protected under the doctrine of "Confidential Information", and bolstered by a confidentiality agreement or deed.
