Heidtman & Co and the Community

Heidtman & Co deliberately fosters an environment that encourages our people to care for, and to promote, the interests of the community at large.

For the past four years, our staff have sponsored a child from Ghana and have followed, and been delighted at, his progress.

Every year members of our staff support a variety of charities and worthwhile causes. In recent times these have included the Wildlife & Information Rescue Service, the World Society for Protection of Animals, Horses in Drought, sponsorship of a drought affected calf and, of course, the more recognised charities such as The Cancer Council, the Smith Family and the Salvation Army.

For over a decade we have been the honorary ("pro bono") lawyers for Suicide Prevention Australia (SPA) Incorporated, a non-profit, non-government organisation that acts as a national "umbrella" body and public advocate for suicide prevention.

We recently also accepted the role as honorary lawyers for the Tourette Syndrome Association of Australia Inc, a non-profit organisation that assists those with Tourette Syndrome (a syndrome which is characterised by involuntary, irresistible body movements and vocalisations).

Since 1995 our firm has forgone Christmas cards to clients and friends and, instead, donated the money saved to a selected charity for those who are less fortunate.

In addition, every year our staff have an office Christmas tree, and collect and donate Christmas presents to the Smith Family's Christmas Appeal.

Our firm's commitment to the community provides a well-balanced and caring environment in which all of our people are encouraged to assist those who are less fortunate.
